Copyright & Third-Party Content Policy

Voltage lets you cut videos from library clips and from footage you bring yourself. Only add content you own or have permission to use.

Wireframe placeholder. This page shows the structure and section headings only. The final wording must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before Voltage launches.

Your responsibility

When you upload a file or import from another platform, you confirm you own it or hold the rights, permission or licence to use and publish it. That responsibility sits with you, not with Voltage. The confirmation is recorded with the upload.

Library clips are different

Clips supplied by Voltage come with a licence for use inside videos you make here. Everything you add yourself is your responsibility.

What is not allowed

Re-uploading someone else’s video, film, broadcast, stream or music without permission. Removing watermarks or credits. Using a clip in a way its licence does not cover.

Reporting infringement

Rights holders can report a video from the reporting form. We ask for your contact details, the link or content identifier, a description of the copyrighted work, and a good-faith declaration. Placeholder — the statutory notice requirements for your jurisdiction go here.

What happens next

We review the report, and if it is valid we remove the clip and tell the creator what was taken down and why. The rest of their project is untouched. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

Appeals

If a creator believes a clip was removed by mistake they can appeal and show the rights they hold — a licence, a release, or proof they filmed it. Appeals are reviewed by the rights team.

Repeat infringement

Accounts that keep infringing are suspended.
